So, I've been thinking lately. . .we know that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [John 1:1], and "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." [John 1:14].
Well, I've been contemplating the life of Christ throughout the 4 gospels. Understanding that wherever Christ went, there was a change. Either someone was healed or set free from oppression, demon, or disease. With that in mind, He never left the area the same as it was before He entered in. There WAS a change in person and/or atmosphere. Shouldn't The Word we read or hear (particularly in church) make a change in our lives today as well?
How can the manifested Word have made a definite and distinct change in the bible or biblical sense and not in our own lives? I speak to myself when I say that The Word should and can make a change for the positive IF we allow it. I must be a better steward of The Word I hear and read. For in doing so, I become more "Christlike".
Just a thought. . . .
